AVAILABLE SERVICES
Individuals are given an opportunity to make a contribution towards the cost of their services. Contributions are voluntary and confidential. Several services such as Transportation, Home-Delivered Meals and Congregate Meals have suggested contribution amounts.

Available to any resident of Washington Parish, trips are provided for shopping, medical appointments, & many other destinations throughout the parish
Individual or group activities such as bingo, handicrafts, general interest programs, educational and religious activities & special events that are offered at Senior Centers & Nutrition Sites.
Provides assistance to persons having difficulty with one or more instrumental activities of daily living such as preparing meals, shopping & light housekeeping.
A service for older individuals that provides current information on opportunities and services available within the community. Provides assistance in linking individuals to available resources.
A program to promote better health by providing accurate & culturally sensitive nutrition information, physical fitness or health information as it relates to nutrition & instruction to individuals, groups or caregivers.
Provides one nutritionally balanced meal in a group setting, five days per week. Various activities are planned for seniors attending senior centers and nutrition sites. Meals must be ordered by noon the day before you plan to attend.
Five nutritionally balanced, frozen meals are delivered to persons aged 60 and above each week. Individuals must be temporarily, or chronically homebound. Priority is given to low income & greatest social need individuals.
Provides an emergency response system (ERS) to low-income, qualified older individuals.
Homebound individuals receive a pre-arranged daily telephone call to provide comfort, assistance, & safety.
Individuals aged 60 and above who have questions concerning Medicare Part D or need assistance in enrolling in a Medicare Part D plan can schedule an appointment for assistance.
Any person aged 60 years and older residing in Washington Parish. Some programs give priority to low-income, isolated or hombound individuals.
WHO CAN RECEIVE SERVICES?
Offers support services to individuals caring for a relative or loved one. Services include Information & Assistance, & In Home Respite Care.
Identifying potential clients & encouraging the use of services and benefits offered by the Council on Aging.

Entergy Assisstance
We are offering assisstance to Entergy Clients-Program is called Beat the Heat. This is for clients who are 60 and above, are getting disconnected, disable, and lives in Washington Parish.
